Praise Reports and News
March 2009:
We were able to help out 4 gentleman who just got out of prison and needed clothing in order to start looking for jobs. Recieved an abundance of furniture that we were able to bless Bridge Of Hope ministry families that had been on a long waiting list to furnish their homes especially with beds as they were sleeping on the floor.
Blessed military VA hospital with some clothing in order for their bed rested patience to wear some street clothes to feel a little better about their situation. God is so good that we got in contact with a pastor that goes to Tecate Mexico and was able to give them an abundance of clothing.
April 2009
Some share leaders along with our small group went to Tijuana, Mexico to a orphange called Lilly of the Valley. We were able to give them, clothing, food, laundry detergent, dry food goods. There are more than 120 orphanes in this orphange. We had the priviledge of giving the ladies who work this orphange 7 days a week a break by making hamburger and hotdogs for these children as well as take them to the park and have some fun. What a blessing!!
May 2009
*Partnered with Step Up Foster Youth and had prom boutique at the Rock. Gave away over 60 prom dresses and 15 girls were able to get their hair and make-up done the day of their prom.
*Prom boutique for King Chavez prepatory academy. The girls were blessed with over 250 dresses. They were so happy and excited!!
*Recieved a couch donation and was contacted by a foster youth who had just turned 18 and moved into an apartment on her own but she did not have a couch. We were able to deliver a beautiful couch to her that fit her apartment perfectly!
*Delivered couch as well as dining room table to a young man who is now in his 20's and he has been living on the streets with his mother. He finally was able to get his own apartment but had nothing. I recieved a phone call and we were able to deliver to him. What a blessing!!
*Partnered with single parent foundation and they had Costco cards to give away and they offered them to families of the Rock
July 2009
So many......great turn out of volunteers coming on Tuesdays to help sort, single mom of 3 children were sleeping on air beds and floor we were able to get them a bed (they were soooo excited!!), help some gentleman out that just got out of jail with clothing, One of the girls from the prom boutiqe recieved a dress that she wore to represent National City in a pageant and she won first place with a dress worn donated from Share...Amen! Share had a van donated to us that we are using for pick ups and deliveries, Ministries in Tijuana called La Esperanza a recovery home we were able to supply clothing, household goods, shoes, towels and linens, also a recovery homes in San Diego South Bay Women's
Recovery Home 10 men and 10 women were able to come and get clothing for daily use as well as interview attire (they have offered to help with sorting. As this is a great opportunity to share the gospel and these individuals the love of Christ. A family's house burnt down in Paradise Hills and we were able to provide family with clothing. San Diego social workers are aware of Share and families come to the share building to get what they need. So many praise reports God is Good!!
